the canal view from the superior beautiful double room was great. i could easily see the water and some boats. breakfast had many options, and the staff remembered my coffee order. the location was convenient for walking to nearby restaurants.
the room felt quite cold, even after i adjusted the thermostat, and the windows seemed to let in a draft. also, getting to the room involved navigating a maze of corridors, a bit confusing. i noticed some stairs inside the room that seemed somewhat dangerous.

our room had single-glazed windows, so it was very cold .

The hotel is in an amazing location and close to everything. museums, shops, and other sights are within easy walking distance. we were near cafes. The location was perfect! though the parking was expensive.

mixed feelings about my stay
narrow staircasepoor air conditioning
the spiral staircase to my "superior split-level room canal view" was narrow. i had to bend over to climb it (this became tiresome). additionally, the air conditioning barely worked and it was warm in the room during the day. (i visited in july).
