Decent Stay in a Renovated Palace
modern design elegant atmosphere poor recommendation low temperature
The restored palace had a unique atmosphere. The modern design and Colonial details created an elegant space. I liked the lounge. It offered a relaxing place with good cocktails.
The front desk staff didn't know restaurants. They couldn't recommend seafood or Thai options. I had to find information myself, it was not ideal. My suite on the fourth floor felt cold even with the thermostat set high.

modern design excellent service comfortable bedding
The hotel features a beautiful interior with a blend of traditional and modern design. The staff provided excellent service, especially at the reception. My room included comfortable bedding and a Nespresso machine. The location is central and close to many attractions.

dusty room uncomfortable pillows
The breakfast buffet was excellent and offered a great start to the day.
The room was quite dusty, I noticed it on the walls and floor. This triggered my allergies as I'm sensitive to dust and mites, it made it difficult for me to breathe well. the pillows weren't very comfortable at all.

I found the staff friendly. they helped me check in early, that allowed me to get right on with my day! the room was clean. I really appreciated that.

The hotel is close to several attractions and museums. This makes it a great spot. you can easily reach the prado museum, thyssen-bornemisza museum, cibeles fountain and el retiro park with a short walk.

decent location, but some issues
small room street noise
the hotel location was good. the room was small though and the air conditioning did not seem to work very well, even after i reported it. it made sleeping difficult. there was also some noise from the street at night that disturbed me. this was disappointing given the price i paid for my stay.

the street noise was not good during nights. it seemed impossible to sleep because of street noise. the receptionist said it was normal during weekends, it happened every night.
