acceptable stay, some disappointments
direct airflow air conditioning
the location was really good, with a fine view of the palace from my window.
the room was quite basic, and i found the air conditioning blew directly over the bed. i had to choose between being too hot or risking a cold from the direct airflow.

adequate stay with some issues
inner courtyard view cockroach sighting
The room faced an inner courtyard. this wasn't clear when i booked. there was a cockroach in the room on the last morning! breakfast was not included. I think it should be for the price i paid. the room felt cold with stone floors and harsh white lighting.

charming palace stay
central location welcome wine
The location was indeed superb. It put me right next to everything. i also appreciated the champagne and complimentary red wine upon arrival.. a very cute touch.
honestly, there wasn't much to dislike, but the noise from nearby rooms was noticeable.

faulty air conditioning early morning noise
the staff were lovely and very helpful with directions.
the air conditioning barely functioned at all. management stated nothing could be done to remedy the situation. maintenance work started outside early each morning (around 6:30 am), causing significant disruption.
