Georgian Hotel Overlooking St Stephen's Green with Award-Winning Breakfast

Garden & Grounds

The hotel's idyllic garden leads directly to the Victorian Iveagh Gardens, which feature fountains, expansive greens, and a rustic grotto. An outdoor fireplace and a picnic area are available for guests, along with a sun terrace and a selection of board games and puzzles. This serene outdoor space provides a quiet retreat in the middle of Dublin.

Art & Heritage

Stauntons On The Green houses an extensive bespoke art collection throughout the hotel, with pieces tied to significant Irish figures. The building itself is a Georgian townhouse that retains original architectural details such as Adams fireplaces and tall sash windows. This historical context earned the hotel a place on the Irish Independent Hot 100 - 100 Best Hotels in Ireland for 2023.

Award-Winning Breakfast

Each morning, the hotel serves an award-winning breakfast menu that includes a full Irish breakfast, eggs Florentine, and French toast, all cooked to order. Guests can also choose from fresh fruit, porridge, and a selection of cold options. The breakfast is available in the drawing room overlooking St Stephen's Green.

Rooms & Suites

Rooms offer garden or park views, with some featuring private terraces opening onto the garden. Family rooms include two separate sleeping areas with a king or queen bed and a double bed, each with its own television. Bathrooms are stocked with Voya bath products, and Dyson fans are provided for warmer nights.

The hotel sits opposite St Stephen's Green, within a 10-minute walk of Grafton Street and less than 15 minutes from Trinity College and the National Gallery. The LUAS tram stop is two minutes away, and the Aircoach from Dublin Airport stops around the corner. Dublin Castle and the National Concert Hall are also within easy walking distance.

Charming Stay in a Central Location

central location relaxing atmosphere helpful staff good selection
I found the location really good. St Stephen's Green is just across the street (this made morning walks very convenient). The decor throughout the hotel was beautiful. The staff proved helpful and friendly, readily assisting with directions and recommendations. The breakfast offered a really good selection, with generous portions available.
I noticed that the room, while clean, could benefit from slightly better soundproofing, especially during peak traffic hours.
Facilities

The hotel provides access to beautiful gardens both behind it and across the street, ideal for relaxed moments. Common sitting rooms are available and they offer fresh coffee. This ensures guests have comfortable spaces to unwind after outings.
