excellent location helpful staff nice view room cleanliness small gym limited breakfast
The location was excellent. I could easily walk to many attractions. the room had nice views. the staff was helpful and friendly.
The room was not as clean as i expected for a hotel of this caliber. I noticed dust in several areas. the gym was quite small with limited equipment. the breakfast lacked some variety in its offerings.

I think it is a cool building with architecture you can see. The location is good, away from all the noise. Staff were helpful and friendly, I liked them very much. My minibar was free, this was a very nice benefit.
I think the room could use better cleaning. I saw some dirty surfaces in the room.

The place has an excellent location near many attractions. It's located between the Amstel and canals, that are very close. The train station is within a short walk from the hotel building.

The room had tall ceilings that cause a neck ache if you look up too much. Windows extend from floor to ceiling, offering canal views. A window opens allowing fresh air during the cool summer nights.

Historical Elegance and Comfort
spacious room canal view central station helpful staff
I appreciated the hotel's architecture and its historic building. Our room was very spacious, facing the canal. The central station proximity created a very convenient stay. Staff members were friendly and helpful.
There were four steps at the entrance. It was difficult with heavy luggage but a kind bell man helped.

The breakfast offered a great choice of food. The presentation was really good, giving a luxurious start to each day, setting a high standard for the hotel.

underwhelming stay
broken air conditioning bathroom door
the air conditioning barely worked so the room was stuffy during the day. the bathroom door also lacked a proper lock. it kept swinging open so i had to wedge a towel to keep it shut for any privacy it became quite irritating after a while.
