“I've been impressed by this property's modern design; its loft-style interiors create a unique, unfussy urban feel, extending to centralized seating for socialising. Its on-site bakery, stocked with fresh, local pastries, enhances the cultural experience, and I think it stands out. A solid choice for those seeking a lively Reykjavik base.”

The Exeter Hotel is a modern property with a cool downstairs bar and a convenient location in the city center, making it easy to walk around Reykjavik. The rooms are generally clean and comfortable, and some guests have even spotted the Northern Lights due to the hotel's proximity to the water. While some found the rooms a bit on the smaller side, the hotel also features a lovely restaurant at the entrance and a coffee shop downstairs with awesome bagels.

Really good stay in a Urban Double Room

excellent location breakfast variety attentive staff
I liked the excellent location. The hotel faces a bus stop for tours. I enjoyed the breakfast. It included a nice variety. The staff were attentive, and very helpful when I had questions.
The room has minimal lighting. It made it hard to find things inside the suitcase. I believe some improvements would enhance the guest experience.
Dining
9/10
The hotel features a bakery. It offers fresh breads and donuts. I sampled a bagel sandwich and some tea. I confirm staff said the restaurant is quite popular too.
Location
10/10
The hotel stands across from a bus stop. That bus stop is the pick up point for tours. It is close to the harbor. This proximity made exploring simple for me.
Rooms
8/10
My room had heated floors. Heated towel racks added a touch of luxury. The shampoo and soap products were of great quality. Coffee making facilities allowed enjoyment of coffee in my room.
Service
10/10
The front desk staff gave very useful restaurant recommendations. Their assistance was invaluable. They went the extra mile to ensure I enjoyed the trip. Thomas and Dave were super helpful.

The bagel shop was very convenient. the staff was super helpful too. the location was awesome. Everything i needed was within walking distance.
The guest room lighting was atrocious. the interior design was minimal. It fails as urban chic. the room was as dark as a dungeon with all lights on though.
