Bicycle rental is available for exploring the city, and the 24-hour reception desk can arrange hiking, fishing, and whale watching excursions.

Accommodations

The hotel provides three grades of rooms: standard, superior, and budget options to suit different budgets. All rooms include a TV and a private bathroom, with some superior rooms offering scenic views of the city or the sea. Superior rooms also feature a kettle, tea and coffee supplies, a mini fridge, and a safe for added comfort.

Dining & Bar

A free continental breakfast is served daily, including breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, cereals, juices, and hot drinks. The on-site restaurant offers a fresh buffet for dinner, with soup, a large salad bar, and a rotating hot main course. The lobby bar provides a relaxed space to enjoy happy hour drinks and watch TV.

Family-Friendly Offerings

Location: 700m from Laugardalslaug geothermal pool

“For those prioritizing budget and location in Reykjavik, this spot holds real appeal. While basic rooms are indeed compact, upgrading to a superior room appears to significantly improve the experience; plus, many tours pick up directly from the hotel. The inclusive breakfast extends beyond the basics, and having a supermarket a block away helps keep costs down.”

The hotel offers free luggage storage. This was really useful. a shared kettle is available in the lobby. I could make tea anytime. a krónan supermarket is also a short walk away. This made getting snacks easy.
the hair dryer was only available upon request, a little inconvenient.

the staff was friendly. the location offers convenience to downtown. tour expeditions use this as a pickup point too. i found the beds comfy.
i think the room was quite small and a bit tricky to move around. i had two suitcases and backpacks. it was fine for one night, though it wasn't ideal. the main drawback was no hairdryer in the room.

amazingly responsive staff above average breakfast ample seating pleasant staff member
The staff was amazingly responsive. I sent numerous emails when my plans changed and maria jose, jón and carolina answered efficiently and with great courtesy (i really appreciated their help). the breakfast was above average for the price, with boiled eggs, porridge, breads, pastries, cereal, and various toppings available. the hotel has ample seating in the common area, easy to relax in the evenings. i found every staff member i encountered to be pleasant.
the room was quite small. it was difficult to open my suitcase fully without rearranging the furniture.
