lack of staff email communication
the bus stop near the place was convenient for getting around.
i found the lack of staff on site quite frustrating , as there was no one to address immediate concerns or questions. i had to rely on email communication , which wasn't ideal. it felt impersonal and inefficient for resolving issues promptly.

convenient base for exploring
convenient location smooth system shared bathroom
the location was great for walking into town, and i found the car parking very useful. the contactless system worked smoothly. i was kinda surprised that i did not encounter other guests when using shared bathroom facilities.
the hotel is un-manned and accessed via a key code, though the road sounds were very audible because of the original sash windows.

There was a kettle with cups available in the room, alongside complimentary tea. This allowed me to prepare hot beverages in the room as needed. no microwave was present.

My room had comfortable beds and ample space. All clean, which i appreciated. the neighborhood felt safe, a detail i valued because i easily walked to the royal mile.

cold room uneven flooring
The location was okay. There were several bus routes close by.
The experience was frustrating. The room was quite cold. the central heating clearly wasn't working as expected. the flooring was also uneven in places , made moving around the room difficult.
