unclean carpets limited breakfast
The room felt quite dated. The breakfast choices seemed limited. Only cereal, toast, and slices of cheese were available. I also noticed the carpets seemed visibly unclean! The ensuite was very small. It was hard to move around. I think some updates could improve the stay.

a cozy stay with music

convenient location friendly staff musical interlude
i stayed in a double room ensuite for two nights and found it quite pleasant. the location was convenient, a short walk to the royal mile and other sites! the staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions for local attractions. alan's evening musical interludes were a highlight, a charming touch with scottish songs and videos.
the breakfast was quite basic. it included cereal, toast, and some fruit! while adequate, a bit more variety would have been appreciated.
