fantastic stay

lovely teamspacious roomthoughtful touch
the team was very cute. my room had a large bathroom and comfortable double bed. they prepared takeaway breakfasts for my early departure, a lovely touch.
the extra seating in my room was not ideally positioned.

great breakfastperfect location
the staff was accommodating. the breakfast was great with many options. the location is perfect as it's within walking distance of many places we wanted to visit.

the standard double room included nice amenities. it had complimentary water and snacks that were replenished. the room itself had high ceilings and felt spacious and super clean, which i appreciate. a refrigerator and a teapot and coffee pot were available too.

i stayed five nights. the reception staff were always helpful. the hotel is central to the shopping center and edinburgh street food. the tram from the airport is a two-minute walk away. it is on the flat, so there is no dragging the suitcase up a hill to the hotel.
the room was very small, but this did not impact my overall stay too much. i could hear some noise from nearby rooms.

the location was great i did not have to walk much to get to places.
the room i got had an awful smell. i think it was the room 1 double bed suite in the basement, as there was no ventilation and it reeked of sewage. the price was not acceptable for the quality.

underwhelming stay, some issues noticed

terrible soundproofingunclean bathroom
The room i got, a standard double room, was a bit of a letdown. i found the soundproofing terrible. i could hear every single noise from the hallway. also the bathroom wasn't properly cleaned when i arrived. That was pretty annoying!
