Excellent Stay with Friendly Staff
famous person friendly staff proper coffee
Each bedroom featured a famous Scottish person. This included fabulous photographs downstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. The 'proper' coffee in the bedrooms provided an added bonus.
The room was quite noisy. There was to be a ventilation unit right above it. The functions that ran late into the night also added to the noise.

The hotel is around a twenty minute walk from the station. It is down Princess Street, perfectly acceptable to traverse on foot. A host of bars and restaurants can be sampled venturing further back into the streets that run parallel.

The room design is great. Each room is themed on a different Scottish celebrity. There are nice little touches like Tunnocks teacakes and proper coffee. The shower is also great and well equipped.

Breakfast was gorgeous, including many good options. The restaurant, while having a limited menu, had excellent food. There is a wonderful selection of drinks and cocktails available.

excellent coffee room upgrade convenient restaurant
The in-room coffee was AMAZING!!! I really appreciated it. I was kinda surprised by my room upgrade. The balcony was a very nice addition. The hotel bar and restaurant were super convenient when I wanted a quick meal or cocktail.
I noticed there wasn't sufficient storage space for all my clothes. Some had to remain in my suitcase.

the location was quite convenient. it was easy to reach various attractions from the hotel. the breakfast had good choices. the staff seemed friendly and helpful.
the standard room felt small. there wasn't much space for luggage (i had a small suitcase). the noise from outside was noticeable at night. it made it a little hard to sleep sometimes.
