stylish hotel, a positive experience
convenient location city views complimentary drinks lounge ambiance
i found the hotel's location quite convenient, very near the river and pontocho street. the eighth-floor lobby bar and restaurant gave great city views. i especially enjoyed the complimentary drinks and snacks offered in their lounge. the bar had a nice ambiance and lovely city views, too.
The breakfast choices were a bit limited. I wished there was more variety each day.

this hotel features a superb location close to pontocho alley. gion is easily walkable from here, taking only about ten minutes. a metro station sits just five minutes away, facilitating easy transport throughout the city.

A balanced stay overall

The hotel had a SUPER convenient location. I could walk to many restaurants within minutes. Gion was also easily accessible, maybe a short walk away. A metro station was also very close. This made getting around easy.
The breakfast was not so good. It was the SAME every day. The quality seemed to decline after the first couple of days. It seemed like it had been refrigerated. I expected better for the price I paid.

the staff was helpful and friendly. i enjoyed the free drinks and snacks at the guest lounge (this was a fantastic bonus!). the location is perfect for exploring nearby restaurants and shops.
i found the breakfast selection somewhat limited. i wished there were more options beyond eggs benedict and french toast.

convenient location great transport lovely terrace
The hotel's location is superb near various sites. I easily walked to many attractions. Local transport links are also great should i prefer not to walk. There is a lovely terrace on the third floor.
The minibar prices seemed a little high compared to nearby stores.

The hotel's location was central. It allowed easy access to Pontocho Alley and the Gion district. The top floor bar was a plus. A third-floor lounge also had free coffee, wine, and snacks in the afternoons.
There was no one to support with luggage upon arrival. The hotel lacked a concierge desk. Water was not automatically provided in the room. I had to request it.
