welcome drinks friendly staff stained carpet uncomfortable sofa
The hotel location felt very centric, close to everything I wanted to see. A short walk took me to the main attractions, and that felt so nice. The room included many good amenities like a coffee machine and welcome drinks. The staff was so gentle, it creates a friendly atmosphere.
The carpet did have many stains, something I noticed immediately. The sofa bed felt not comfortable. The windows were sealed shut, and it impacted ventilation in the room.

charming stay near royal mile
attentive staff clean room convenient location
The staff was great, especially at breakfast, they were attentive. the room was a good size and everything was clean. i liked the proximity to the main attractions. The royal mile was just a short walk.
The bathroom could use a little updating. the shower head was a bit old, and i noticed some minor wear and tear in the grout.

The staff printed a booklet about the building's history for me. The room had good amenities. I found a coffee machine and a fridge stocked with welcome drinks and chocolate! Radiators in the room helped dry clothes after rain.
The room keys did not work once. I had to ask someone to let me in.

european adapter car parking
the desk agent provided a european adapter for my chargers i found this very helpful. the manager explained the building's history he even showed me where to park my car on the street.
the room lacked a minibar and there was no complimentary water i also noticed i could not dry my hair in the bathroom due to the layout.

I found the staff quite helpful. One agent even provided a european adapter for my chargers. the manager shared the hotel's history, noting sir sean connery's birth here when it was a maternity hospital. the breakfast included fresh condiments like cranberries and walnuts for the oatmeal. a staff member offered to move the sofa in my room to better suit television viewing (it was a nice touch!).
the water pressure in the shower was quite low . i found it made rinsing off a bit slow.

i had a standard twin room. it was equipped with all necessary amenities! the heating worked perfectly. the staff was always available and eager to help. breakfast offered a decent variety including both continental and cooked options.
the window in my room didn't open for safety reasons.
