“The quirky allure of a former asylum, reborn as a luxury hotel just off the Royal Mile, is undeniably intriguing. Bespoke murals and uniquely styled rooms add character, while the promise of an exceptional wine pairing from knowledgeable sommeliers seals the deal for those seeking a refined Edinburgh experience. I believe this address balances historical intrigue with modern indulgence quite well.”

Fantastic Stay!

amazing suite spacious suite attentive staff excellent breakfast
The suite was amazing and spacious. The deep bath was a highlight for ME. The hotel's location was PERFECT for accessing many attractions like the vaults cathedral and the fringe. Staff were attentive and cute, especially the front of house team (they made everything so easy!). I also enjoyed the breakfast spread every morning.
I found that the evening menu had limited options, and some main dishes were unavailable despite the restaurant being quiet.
Service

The reception staff provided a wonderful history of the building upon arrival. The concierges were helpful and kind, and I felt welcome throughout my stay.
Facilities

The hotel is beautifully presented and in an excellent location. It's also a NICE and quiet spot to unwind after a busy day. I found the hotel to be amazing location for walking to many attractions.
Rooms

The room was newly decorated and GORGEOUS, with a large ensuite. The ensuite features a double shower cabinet and a deep bath. The bedroom was lovely and I had a great night's sleep here.

ok hotel with some issues

central location good breakfast friendly staff tiny room outside noise confusing layout
the location rocks. it's just so central i can't even. breakfast was also quite good with lots of options. the staff was super friendly and helpful, always smiling and ready to assist.
my room felt tiny compared to what i expected, specially for the price i pay. the noise outside kept me up, parties and deliveries didn't help. also, finding my room was a total maze. i bumped into so many lost souls!
