The Harding Hotel's central location, right across from Christ Church Cathedral and within easy walking distance of St Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College, is a definite highlight for many guests. You'll find spacious and clean rooms equipped with amenities like coffee/tea making facilities, and some even have a refrigerator. While some guests in rooms facing the street have noted some noise due to single glazing, the convenience of the location and the included breakfast at the Copper Alley Restaurant, where guests get coupons to choose their breakfast, often make up for it. Don't miss Darkey Kelly's Pub downstairs for food and live music.

central stay, a detailed look
central location helpful staff good atmosphere
The location was central. i could easily walk to major attractions. This was a real advantage. the staff were efficient and helpful with directions. I received prompt assistance. the onsite pub had a good atmosphere. I enjoyed a drink there one evening.
My room faced a service area. The noise from early morning deliveries was disruptive. i found it hard to sleep past 6 am because of the sounds. better soundproofing is needed in these rooms.
Rooms
8/10
My double or twin room featured two separate beds with firm mattresses. I slept well. the bathroom included a shower with good water pressure and an assortment of towels. housekeeping ensured the room was clean daily, though i did notice some wear on the carpet.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast buffet had a good variety. I appreciated the fresh fruit and pastries. the hotel's pub, darkey kelly's, offered a selection of traditional irish dishes. I tried the stew. the bistro next door served breakfast. This was a handy option.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel provides complimentary adapters. I appreciated this as an international traveler though i did encounter some problems with power circuits. wi-fi was available throughout the hotel. I found it reliable. i noted the absence of air conditioning!

mixed feelings about the stay
worn-out carpet unhelpful staff
The room felt a bit tired. The carpet had some noticeable iron burn marks right in the middle, a shame. i also noticed a ripped area along one wall. the single glazing didn't block out much noise at all, and i could hear a lot from the bar downstairs and the church clock across the road. getting a seat in the residents' bar for a meal was difficult. One staff member just said there was nothing available, which wasn't very helpful.
