The bar stocks hand-selected wines, craft-brewed Scottish beers and cider, and bespoke gins from all over Scotland.

“The Pipers' Tryst is a memorable hotel; its embrace of Scottish heritage, particularly bagpiping culture, gives it a distinctive atmosphere. The personal touches, like the arrival whisky and the location within the National Piping Centre, reflect genuine hospitality. I think it's a cozy place that offers an authentic taste of Glasgow.”

The Pipers' Tryst enjoys a great central location, making it easy to reach the bus station and main shopping streets with a short walk. Guests often find the rooms spacious, especially appreciating the large, comfortable king-sized beds; however, some have noted that certain rooms could benefit from refurbishment. The breakfast stands out with its lovely selection of Scottish produce and hot options, and the hotel's proximity to attractions like the National Piping Centre adds to its appeal.

Good Place to Stay

clean room comfortable bed friendly staff welcome touch
The room was clean and its size was ideal. I slept well, the beds were comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly, including the dram and shortbread on arrival. I liked this nice welcome touch.
The room looks a little tired and needs repainting. There were some scuff marks on the walls.

underwhelming stay

scuff marks on walls burning smell
the room i got was not great. the walls had scuff marks and looked like they needed a fresh coat of paint. finding the brochures was like an archaeological dig, they was hidden behind a desk under a thick layer of dust. also, the hairdryer kept cutting out and smelled like burning plastic, i was worried about setting off the fire alarm.

mixed feelings about the stay

damp carpet low water pressure
the staff was cute and helpful enough, i guess.
I was really disappointed with the room. The carpet smelled like it was perpetually damp. the water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent. It seemed like a trickle. after checking in, access to the hotel required going through a tiny back door, which just added to the sense of decay. The building felt pretty old.

A Charming Scottish Haven

immaculate cleanliness warm welcome central location delicious breakfast
I loved the immaculate cleanliness, it was like everything sparkled. The friendly staff gave such a warm welcome. The location was very central, this allowed easy access to local attractions. A highlight was the delicious breakfast, particularly the excellent cooked breakfast.
The water pressure in the shower felt a bit weak, not quite the invigorating flow I hoped for.
