Historic Pub & Dining

O'Neills Victorian Pub & Townhouse has been family-owned since 1885, serving a wide range of Irish beers and over 50 whiskeys. The pub offers traditional Irish food with a diverse menu, including home-cooked Irish dishes. Live traditional Irish music sessions take place twice a week in the bar.

Accommodations

All rooms have contemporary en suite facilities with private bathrooms. A communal kitchenette area provides free tea and coffee, plus a fridge for guest use. The hotel has no elevator, so all rooms are accessed by stairs; staff can assist with luggage when available.

Location & Transport

The townhouse is located opposite Trinity College, a 5-minute walk from O'Connell Street and Grafton Street. Dublin Castle, St. Stephen's Green, and the Bord Gáis Theatre are within walking distance. The Dublin Express and Hop-On Hop-Off bus stops are directly outside the hotel, and the DART train station is 5 minutes away.

Guest Services

Daily housekeeping is provided, and luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. The hotel uses self-check-in when the pub is closed on Sundays and Mondays. For parking, a discount card for Q-Park Setanta is available at the bar.

great food friendly staff luggage upstairs amazing help morning tea amazing tea limited outlets charging issue questionable street dark place limited wander night stroll
The location was amazing! the gentleman who checked me in even took my luggage upstairs for me. It was a great touch. the pub next door had really great food and the staff were friendly! i also found a tea room right by my room. I could pop in every morning to make my tea!
The electrical outlets were limited i had some trouble charging all my devices! finding enough outlets to charge two phones and two ipads was a bit difficult. there was only one outlet beside the bed.. the street outside felt a bit questionable. I probably wouldn't wander around too much late at night.

street noise limited breakfast
the room faced the street and the noise was atrocious. i mean, i expected some sounds, but this was next level. i invested in earplugs after the first night, it barely made a difference. also, breakfast wasn't included and there weren't many nearby options, aside from a very crowded bakery. i had to walk a good distance for a decent cuppa.
