An Okay Experience

The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection. I saw complimentary tea, coffee, and pastries. These were available throughout the day. I like the friendly, helpful staff. The location is near the castle.
The room lacked luxury. I noticed the walls was thin. I heard everything. The mattress was hard. The room was small and dark. I did not like that.

i enjoyed the complimentary port, a daily replenishment! the lounge and terrace were excellent. i also particularly enjoyed the cushioned sun lounger for three. it was a perfect setup for pure relaxation! coffee, tea, and pastries were complimentary during the day, along with prosecco after 6pm.
The historic location presents access challenges. I think the hotel should emphasize these extreme location issues more.

my room was immaculate with lovely touches. the carafe of port was especially great, they topped it up daily. the historical ambiance created a cozy atmosphere, it really added to the experience and i appreciated it.

The staff are wonderful, always super helpful, and very friendly. they were happy for us to use the facilities after checkout on our last day. this courtesy made our late flight much easier. It was greatly appreciated.

i wasn't thrilled with a couple things . first, the walls felt thin and i could hear noises from other rooms too easily. it made relaxing difficult. also, the free airport transfer didnt appear, and when i asked to reschedule it for the return to the airport, they claimed they were fully booked so i had to pay for a taxi.

Charming stay amidst history

The hotel had many special touches including complimentary sparkling wine. i found free pastries available at all times which was a pleasant surprise. i particularly enjoyed the decanter of port provided in the room. Such details were good.
the walls seemed thin because i could hear everything happening around me. the mattress was rather hard and impacted my sleep quality. these factors detracted slightly from the overall experience.

the breakfast area merges with a spacious lounge area. i noticed it offers pleasant views onto the enclosed patio. this setup allowed for a relaxed atmosphere and nice scenery during breakfast and relaxation.

the complimentary airport transfer was a major perk! little extras, like free port in my room. tea, coffee, and cake available all day, were lovely. i also enjoyed free sparkling wine in the evenings. it created a relaxed, intimate atmosphere. the location is fantastic for tourist attractions, with the castle entrance mere steps away.
the walk from public transport was a little challenging. the need to walk uphill a short distance from the public elevators could be difficult for some guests.

breakfast had many choices. the setup provided a very good experience that set me up well for the day. they even offer complimentary pastries during the day (i especially liked the pastel del nata!).

the staff provided amazing service and were super helpful. everyone was very friendly to requests. they even helped me with my luggage when i checked out (a lovely man from reception made me laugh!).

The staff was friendly and helpful. They addressed every need with a smile. My room included port that was restocked each day. I enjoyed the complimentary drinks with pastries. It was a wonderful experience after sightseeing.
