Location

Canal House is situated on the Keizersgracht, one of Amsterdam's grandest canals, in the cultural center of the Jordaan. The hotel is composed of three seventeenth-century merchant houses, providing a historical backdrop in a vibrant urban setting. Guests can access key attractions just a short stroll away, immersing themselves in the essence of Amsterdam.

Unique Private Garden

The hotel boasts one of the largest private gardens in Amsterdam, designed by Dale & Heybrook, offering ample seating areas and serene water features. This triple-width garden is a rare feature, creating a tranquil escape from the city's hustle and bustle. Guests can enjoy the outdoor space year-round with its comfortable all-weather sofas and garden houses.

Rooms

Canal House features 23 luxurious bedrooms, each uniquely styled with hardwood floors, silk wallpapers, and Bisazza mosaics. Guests can choose from various accommodations, including the Great Rooms, which showcase original features and tranquil views over the canal or garden. All rooms include Philippe Starck bathtubs, with many boasting separate rainforest showers.

Dining Experience

Breakfast is served daily with a menu that emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, providing an authentic taste of Amsterdam's character. The stylish bar at Canal House is an ideal setting for enjoying a Canal House G&T or an expertly crafted cocktail. The Great Room also doubles as an event space for private dining and gatherings.

Interior Design

The hotel's design combines contemporary elements with the historical architecture of the canal houses, featuring noteworthy works by Marcel Wanders. Each room is adorned with rich purple velvets and contemporary art, alongside luxurious furnishings. The Great Room is particularly stunning, known for its grand proportions and high ceilings.
