Breakfast was okay. Freshly baked scones were DELICIOUS!!!
The room was right next to the check-in desk, so I could hear EVERYTHING below and around. My car was broken into right in front of the hotel even though the desk is staffed 24 hrs. They messed everything up.

This hotel is a gem near union square. I found it quiet and conveniently close. the rooms are wonderful. the friendly staff and tasty breakfast. i even booked my next visit already!
The lobby suite was next to the check-in desk, and i could hear everything below me. It wasn't ideal!

Adequate Stay with Noticeable Shortcomings

The included breakfast met basic needs with simple offerings.
The plumbing in my room was problematic . The commode overflowed, and I had to bail water. The old furniture looked worn , and the television screen was quite outdated. Exterior noise penetrated the thin windows, disrupting sleep.

I found the location to be very good. It was close to important transit lines. The room was quite spacious. The hotel has a nice library.
It was very noisy at night! I needed to use ear plugs. I also played sleep music to block out city noises. The windows were terrible. I did not feel safe in the area around the hotel.

The breakfast included eggs and porridge. Pastries and fruit were available, too. I liked the wine and cheese served in the evening.
