superb STAY
building restoration clean room
The building restoration is fine. The room was large and also very clean. I found the breakfast delicious. It presented a large variety of food items.. Staff communication before my arrival was great.
i noticed some street noise. This was slightly disruptive during the night. Perhaps better soundproofing could resolve this.

Breakfast offers a large variety of choices, including both buffet and to-order options. The building itself is a beautifully restored historical structure with tastefully decorated rooms, all enhancing the stay. I appreciated the attention to detail.

The hotel is close to main sightseeing spots making exploration very convenient. It is also within walking distance of the train station, providing easy access to transportation. The hotel is right in the historic center.

amazing stay!
service-minded coordinator comfortable room good breakfast central location
the coordinator sebastian was so service-minded and generous. the room had everything we needed. we enjoyed the very good breakfast. it reminded me of a top place to stay! the location was perfect and so central.
there was slight street noise at times but nothing too distracting.

our room featured a large double bed, a seating area with two armchairs. the bathroom had a rainfall shower and complimentary toiletries. we had a television with international channels and fast wifi, amazing!

the hotel is within a 10-minute walk of the sao bento train station. several restaurants and shops are nearby for added convenience, we didn't have to walk far at all. the douro river is also easily accessible.

Breakfast included fresh fruit, pastries, and a selection of cheeses. the hotel offers luggage storage. daily housekeeping maintained a very clean environment. We really appreciated this. the staff provides recommendations for local attractions.

The breakfast area offers views overlooking the city. fresh juices and coffee are available each morning. We loved the fresh orange juice. they even offer gluten-free options with dietary restrictions. It was excellent.

sewage smell ruined my stay
the staff was friendly, offering helpful advice about local attractions. (i especially liked sebastian's recommendations.)
the bathroom had a really bad sewage smell. it permeated the entire room.

the breakfast included a large variety of items. the staff, especially sebastian, provided good recommendations. the hotel communicated well before my arrival, i appreciate that.
my room had a street noise. i wasn't happy with that. there was no compensations offered, and the manager apologized. the bathroom had a sewage smell, it was not fine.

The staff were very helpful. They provided me with a map. They also gave suggestions for activities. Breakfast was delicious. It was served in the lowest level of the building. The location was convenient. I found myself within a 10-minute walk to the train station. I could easily reach Rue des Fleurs.
The street outside the hotel was noisy. This made it difficult to sleep at times. My bathroom had a slight drainage issue. This caused an unpleasant smell to linger. There was no compensation for this inconvenience.
