I stayed in a superior king room. The room had nice shoji screens, so it felt even nicer. Free water and apple juice were available (stocked daily).

Disappointing Room Service and Cleanliness Issues

unavailable food absent warmth

The hotel is conveniently located to enable access to the key sites.

I arrived at 2:35 pm, only to find that food was unavailable. The hotel is advertised as a 4-star hotel. I asked the staff for recommendations of local places where I might be able to eat. They was flustered and handed me a binder of restaurants without recommendations. Room service exists but disappears on Sundays.

mixed feelings about this stay

plumbing problems unreplaced dishes

The room itself wasn't bad, but some things were off. The plumbing WAS questionable. It took forever for hot water to arrive in both the sink and shower, like a full three minutes. they didn't replace the dishes between days during MY two-night stay. Complimentary drinks were nice, but I had no clean cups for the second day as the used ones just sat there.

quiet location spacious room afternoon drinks

I appreciated the hotel's location away from the busy city center. It was peaceful. the room, a beautiful king room non-smoking, was spacious and clean. i found the complimentary drinks in the afternoon a nice perk (i enjoyed a glass of sake!).

the walk to the nearest subway station took about 15 minutes.
