adequate but with noise issues
thin walls unpleasant smell
Honestly, the noise got to me. the walls felt paper-thin, so every conversation and shuffle in the hallway was audible. also, the smell from the bathroom drains was unpleasant. It was quite off-putting each time i entered the room.

excellent stay in a central location
clean bed helpful staff excellent location safe atmosphere
i found the location really good. it was very close to the market and one of the main streets. the staff was nice and helpful. the beds in the rooms were very comfortable and clean. i am very satisfied with the hostel, it exceeded my expectations. i appreciated that i felt okay all time, and it was very handy to everything. markets and la ramblas were right next door. the gothic quarter was across the road.
the walls between rooms were thin, so i heard some noise from other guests.

the hostel benefits from a very central position. it is within walking distance of playa de catalunya. there are lots of shopping places, restaurants and transport links available.

The room had all necessary amenities and was clean. there was a mini fridge, and hangers were available. a balcony offered fresh air. the bathroom was kept very clean. I found it practical.

The room had a fridge and a balcony. This was nice. it was cleaned daily. the location was very central, near the market!

lacking soundproofing street noise
The room was clean and had everything I needed.
The noise was a real problem , as there was no soundproofing at all. I heard every conversation outside the room and also the noise from the street , , made it hard to sleep. Earplugs did not help much.

Acceptable Stay with Location Issues
unsafe neighborhood street parties
The staff was helpful, they always provided assistance when needed.
The neighborhood felt unsafe. Walking around at night made me uneasy. There were many people who seemed to be homeless, it was a bit unsettling. it was hard to sleep all three nights because of parties in the building across the street.
