an uneven experience

street noise limited breakfast
The noise was a real problem. street noise made it hard to sleep, even with the windows closed. the thin walls amplified sounds from other rooms. I could hear people moving around late into the night. also, the breakfast buffet was surprisingly limited for a hotel of this supposed caliber. the selection felt quite basic, and several items were frequently out of stock. (i had to ask for cheese twice.)

the breakfast had a good variety of options. it included local foods and standard buffet fare.
my room was quite warm and there was no air conditioning. two radiators were on and i couldn't turn them down. also, the tv had very few channels, and the signal kept cutting out.

the reception staff was very cute. they also provided excellent suggestions for making the most of my limited time (i only had a few hours!). i wish i had more time and i am already planning another trip and staying here again.
i found the hotel lift quite small. i don't think a mobility scooter would fit inside. this could be difficult for some guests.
