Pros

Historical garden views available from select rooms

Located on a quiet stretch of Prinsengracht Canal

Complimentary early check-in when booking directly (subject to availability)

Walking distance to multiple museums and cultural sites

Cons

No elevator access to 5th floor rooms

Street parking costs €6.50 per hour

“The Hotel Hermitage occupies a prime spot on a tranquil canal, providing an immediate sense of Amsterdam's charm. While the building's historic nature means stairs are part of the experience, the location between the main attractions and the friendly staff make it a practical base. I found the garden particularly appealing-a quiet nook for guests to enjoy.”
