“This spot strikes me as a practical choice for families eager to explore Banff, particularly with its spacious mountain view rooms; the convenience of kitchenettes in the rooms makes longer stays much easier. The hotel's rich history since 1949 lends a certain charm, and its location within a short walk of downtown means easy access to local attractions. While it may show some signs of age, the combination of space and location still presents a solid option.”

average stay, COULD be better

main drag friendly staff old beds spring issues
the location was good as it was along the main drag. friendly staff helped me navigate THE town.
the room was a little more than tired. the beds felt old, like the springs were doing their OWN thing. i think i would have been more comfortable on the floor.

totally awesome stay!

pools bonus easy walk convenient hotel
the pools plus the hot tub were a super bonus for us after our hikes. i could easily walk to the centre of town from the hotel. the sister hotel nearby was really convenient. the artwork around the hotel was just fab.
the television needs a serious upgrade, especially since my kids wanted to watch youtube! that was the only real bummer .

comfortable stay

quiet hotel good wifi walking distance
I really enjoyed my time there. the king room on the third floor was nice and quiet, perfect for relaxation. the wifi worked very well, a definite plus. the location was great for walking downtown. It took maybe 15 minutes to reach the shops.
the parking fee felt a bit much since i was already paying for the room.
Rooms
8/10
My beautiful room king bed had good facilities, though it felt a bit old. I liked having a separate, spacious shower. the room offered mountain views from both large windows, which i found beautiful. the rooms were cleaned each day.
Location
9/10
the location allowed easy walking access to downtown. the bus stop for roam is right next door, i noted. it's a relatively flat walk to town on wide footpaths.
Dining
8/10
the hotel has a coffee station, i appreciated the option. there is no restaurant, i discovered. however, there's a sister hotel nearby with deals .
