mixed feelings about the stay.

convenient locationsmall shower areaoutdated shower curtain
The location was quite convenient. I could easily reach many places.
The bathroom really needs an update, especially the shower area, i found it quite small. also, the shower curtain felt a bit outdated. I'd prefer a glass screen.

I stayed in a standard double room. the room was very nice and clean! staff were very accomodating to us. That was important. the hotel is in close proximity to shops and the book of kells!!!
the bathroom had a tiny hand-wash bowl, not a proper size sink. i didn't have a counter to put any of my toiletries on. the shower drain needs to be cleaned!!! the shower tray overflowed after being in there for 10 minutes.

the family room with four beds offered ample space. i appreciated the bus stop's proximity (just across the road). i found the super clean rooms and amazing staff added much to my experience.
the older wood frame single pane windows in my first-floor room allowed significant traffic noise. it felt i was sleeping right beside buses all night (ear plugs would be useful).
Facilities

the hotel features an adjoining pub with live music on friday and saturday afternoons. i noted the quick check-in process, very efficient after a long day. the lobby exhibited a yesteryear appearance, including holiday decorations.

i found the location to be excellent. the hotel sits right in the heart of everything, yet my front room, adorned with flower baskets, remained surprisingly quiet at night (a great bonus!). the room itself was also spacious. the celtic nights show was a wonderful experience.
i must admit, the bathroom lacked a proper-sized sink. it was more like a tiny hand-wash bowl (quite inconvenient!). there was also no counter space to place my toiletries. it felt quite cramped and impractical for my needs.
