Located in the Pest Palace District across from the Hungarian National Museum, this upscale Budapest hotel occupies a historic 1896 building where Dr. Tauffer performed the first modern cesarean in 1890. The hotel is uniquely designed. The room we stayed in was spacious and connected to comfortable communal areas. We also appreciated the local recommendations for cafes and restaurants via the QR map.
Soundproofing was not ideal. We could hear noises through the ventilation system. The staff seemed somewhat indifferent to our concerns. Breakfast was good, but the service was slow and expensive.

the location was acceptable. the common kitchen was handy.
The room was quite noisy, i could hear everything through the ventilation system. some other guests talked late and it felt as if they were in my room. I mentioned this to the staff but they seemed to ignore me. breakfast was tasty though service proved slow.

The room was super charming, very well insulated. The room had both a tub and a shower. They refilled the water bottle each time. The beds were good at 1.80m.
The bar was closed Thursday and Friday. I was told I could use it on Saturday but there was a private function. I was not allowed access. I was disappointed that the website implies the bar and music are key factors, but I only really had a room.

the room had a tasteful interior. it was also spacious and the bathroom was well appointed. everything was clean. there is a fully equipped kitchen on the floor. it could be used by all guests and proved really comfortable.
i experienced some sound disturbances through the ventilation system in the room. i could hear conversations from other guests quite late at night. this was a bit disruptive to my sleep.

the hotel had a fantastic walkable location. it had convenient access to public transportation nearby. beautiful architecture surrounds the area. i found getting around to be quite easy and convenient from this spot.

communications were detailed before arrival about key codes and room access. daily service refreshed the room. the underfloor heated bathroom provided extra warmth. honesty bar and fridge were a bonus.

the location was great , very near to public transport. i found lots of restaurants close by. the umbrellas i borrowed were helpful , it rained a lot.
