3-star budget-friendly hotel in Salzburg with self check-in and central location
Amenities & Services
Atrium Hotel Salzburg provides a self check-in system for an autonomous arrival experience. The shared lounge area functions as a social space with an honesty bar offering drinks paid by card. Luggage storage before check-in and after check-out is available, and a tour desk supports local excursions with clear communication.
Accommodations
Each guest room includes a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. Rooms come with high ceilings and beverage fridges, and superior double rooms offer extra space with a seating area. Well-insulated windows maintain a quiet environment, though there is no elevator and the top floors require stair access.
Location & Surroundings
The hotel sits within the Altstadt district, a 5-minute walk from Mirabell Palace and Gardens and 400 metres from Mozarteum. Salzburg Main Station lies 5 minutes away on foot, providing direct bus links to the city centre and attractions. Guests receive a Guest Mobility Ticket for free public transport during their Salzburg stay.
Dining & Refreshments
No breakfast is served on-site, but a 10% discount is offered at Cup&Cino coffee shop next door. The honesty bar in the shared lounge stocks a selection of drinks including German prosecco at reasonable prices. A shared pantry provides a kettle and cups for hot drinks, and a beverage fridge in the room stores bottled water on an honour system.
Pet-Friendly & Additional Services
The hotel allows pets, with staff accommodating requests such as storing medication in the staff fridge. On-site parking is available for a fee but must be reserved in advance due to limited space. Daily housekeeping is provided, and the front desk offers concierge services during limited hours.

“The location, near the station and the Altstadt's pedestrian streets, makes it a practical base for exploring Salzburg.
