“This Dublin lodging attracts mixed opinions; while some found service disappointing and timing unreliable, especially regarding live music and closing times, others praise the Steak & Guinness stew and the overall atmosphere. A potential gamble, it seems best to manage expectations, particularly during special events, as experiences can vary widely. It appears staffing inconsistencies may affect the vibe significantly.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Mulligan Hotel boasts a great central location in Dublin, making it easy to visit the city, with many guests completing much of their sightseeing on foot. Rooms are generally clean, and some appreciate the availability of a kettle with coffee and tea, as well as complimentary toiletries like toothbrushes and toothpaste in the shower. Some guests have found certain rooms to be on the smaller side and have noted occasional noise. However, the comfortable beds and reasonable prices, including breakfast, contribute to the hotel's value.

good location convenient location friendly staff luggage storage untouched floor dirty cup loose linen
the location was quite good. it was easy to get around without a car. the staff were friendly. i was able to store my luggage before check-in, which i found very helpful.
the room was not cleaned as well as i would have liked. the floors seemed untouched and there was still dust. dirty cups were left sitting on the table. also, the bed linen kept slipping off the bed, because it wasn't tucked in properly.

I appreciated the location. The hotel was very central. The provided toothbrush and toothpaste were convenient. The beds were comfortable and offered a good night's sleep.
My room was hot. I missed air conditioning in the room.

The hotel has a very central setting. A bus stop sits right next to the front door. Many restaurants, pubs, attractions and shops reside within a few minutes' walk. The area is busy.
