The canal-side bar and café was fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the friendly jazz. i stayed in a budget double room and it was great. at night, it was quite quiet, so i couldn't tell i was near khao san until i left the place.
The rooms are a little outdated. They could use some light maintenance to bring them up to a very nice standard.

The bathroom had an unpleasant sewage smell. I think it needs fixing. there were many mosquitos when i arrived. The bathroom window was open. the shampoo looked like hand washing gel. It was strange

The staff are very friendly. I appreciated that the room was a good size. It featured a safe and a fridge. I also liked that the room received daily cleaning and tidying.
When I first arrived, I learned that the room I had booked was unavailable. They gave me a cheaper room. They did not refund the difference. Instead, they offered free breakfast . It was like they were doing me a favor. The breakfast was okay, with an American style.
