Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guesthouse Aurora enjoys a prime location, placing you within a short walk of the iconic Hallgrimskirkja church and the main street, making it ideal for sightseeing. The breakfast offers a reasonable choice, including good bread, and the convenience of kitchen access for preparing meals at other times is widely appreciated. Rooms are reasonably sized and some guests have noted that rooms on the top level can be quite small due to the pitched roof. Many guests appreciate the availability of a fridge and water kettle for their convenience.

paper thin wallsuncleaned bathroom
The room i got was in a separate building (i wish i knew that beforehand). it felt more like an apartment. The guesthouse just owned one unit with rooms. the shared bathroom wasn't cleaned once so the trash really piled up (lovely!). the walls were also paper thin, so i could hear everything.

sulfur smelldamp bathroom
The most notable issue was the sulfur smell from the hot water, it pervaded the bathroom. A more frequent cleaning schedule is necessary for the shared bathroom. I found it consistently damp. the bed were too small and I did not have a restful sleep. This greatly detracted from my overall experience at this hotel.
