4-star heritage hotel in Sydney's Darling Harbour entertainment district
Accommodation
The hotel occupies a heritage-listed former 1890s wool store, giving the property a distinct historical character. All rooms come with minibars, tea and coffee making facilities, flat-screen TVs, and private bathrooms with showers. Spacious family rooms offer quality linens and enough space for groups or families traveling together.
Family & Children
Children under 12 eat free at the hotel's breakfast buffet, a clear benefit for families. A thoughtfully designed children's play area keeps young guests entertained on-site. The tour desk provides personalized travel assistance, helping families plan daily outings to nearby attractions like SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Wildlife Park.
Dining
The on-site restaurant serves a breakfast buffet that highlights Australian cuisine, with a changing menu each morning. Guests can start the day with cooked-to-order scrambled eggs and middle rashers bacon, as noted in several guest reviews. The breakfast area also offers a hot chocolate station that has received specific praise from visitors.
Location & Nearby
The hotel sits within a 5-minute walk of Chinatown, Paddy's Market, and Cockle Bay Wharf, placing guests at the center of Sydney's urban excitement. Darling Harbour is a 10-minute walk away, and the light rail station is just around the corner for access to Central Station and the city's major sights. Guests can also walk to the Chinese Garden of Friendship and SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium in under 15 minutes.
Services & Facilities
A 24-hour front desk and security services are available, alongside express check-in/check-out for convenience. The hotel provides a modern fitness center that was recently upgraded for guest use, plus self-laundry facilities with washing and drying machines. Wheelchair-accessible rooms and facilities for disabled guests are available, including lower bathroom sinks and grab rails.
Highlights
Accommodation: Heritage-listed former 1890s wool store

Location: Steps from Chinatown, Darling Harbour, and light rail
Dining: Australian breakfast buffet with hot chocolate
Accessibility: Wheelchair-accessible rooms and facilities

βIn my opinion, this hotel's family-friendly focus, including free meals for children, is a standout feature that adds genuine value for those traveling with kids. Its location in Darling Harbour places guests within easy reach of Sydney's attractions. The building's heritage as a former wool store also gives it a distinctive character that differentiates it from more generic hotels.β
