Spacious and Comfortable

I was pleasantly surprised by the room size at El Sendero Inn. Our two-bedroom unit was 365 square feet, providing ample space for my family. We had a comfortable king-size bed with plenty of room around it. The newly remodeled furnishings, including a flat-screen TV, microwave, and mini-refrigerator, added to my comfort. It felt like a great value for what we paid, and I loved having a space that felt both cozy and spacious.

Satisfying On-Site Options

Updated and Clean

I found the bathroom in our room at El Sendero Inn to be modern and clean. It featured a fully remodeled setup with convenient dispensers for soap, shampoo, and conditioner attached to the wall. My stay at Garrett's Desert Inn was a mix of good and bad. The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore downtown Santa Fe, and I appreciated the vintage feel of the place despite the ongoing renovations. However, the service was lacking and the room conditions did not meet expectations, especially with the construction chaos and lack of proper amenities. It might be better once renovations are complete, but for now, there are definitely some shortcomings.

The room I stayed in was spacious but had several issues. The overall cleanliness was adequate, but there were no lamps, and the carpet was loose. I also found it inconvenient that I had to put soap on the floor because there was no tray in the shower.

The service left much to be desired. Staff was not very accommodating, and I struggled to get any assistance when I had issues with my room. It felt like they were overwhelmed with the ongoing construction.

The hotel's location was one of its strong points. It's within walking distance of the plaza and Canyon Road, which made exploring the area a breeze.

Breakfast was quite disappointing. It consisted only of granola bars and packaged muffins, which was a letdown compared to what I've experienced at other places.
