I stayed one night before heading to la fortuna. It suited my needs well. the staff helped book my private transfer on short notice, which i appreciated. the location is convenient, about a ten-minute walk to the city center. navigating was easy due to the grid system.
the breakfast options were not as extensive as i anticipated.

I had a standard room, it had sufficient space and basic amenities like a tv and air conditioning. It was super clean and cozy for a short stay. the beds were comfy too!!!

the interior features appealing brick-lined walls complemented by various paintings. breakfast was a surprisingly good perk included in the price. i found the hotel's taxi service made getting to the airport much more straightforward. (i will use it again, for sure.)
the noise from the street was sometimes noticeable.

the hotel is within walking distance of the simon bolivar zoo. it is essentially an animal rescue site (rather than a traditional zoo), which i found interesting. several museums are also nearby.

lovely stay in central location

i really enjoyed the hotel's prime location and its proximity to the city center. i felt secure walking around, even with my child, as it only took us about 5-10 minutes to reach the city center. the breakfast offered was good, made our mornings easier before heading out for the day.
i found the shower pressure to be quite low, making it difficult to use, while this old building does have lots of charm.

The breakfast included cereal and hot drinks and that was provided an hour before the main breakfast service. this was a very convenient option for those needing to catch early shuttle buses. The service was excellent.
