Canmore hotel with the largest conference space and on-site farm-to-table dining

Conference & Business

Coast Canmore Hotel & Conference Centre offers over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, the largest full-service conference facility in Canmore. The Wild Rose Ballroom serves as the biggest reception venue in town, capable of hosting up to 400 guests across 10 separate meeting rooms. Complimentary virtual tours of the meeting spaces allow event planners to preview layouts before booking, and the hotel provides an exclusive airport shuttle service to and from Calgary International Airport.

Dining

Table Food + Drink, the on-site restaurant, grows its own herbs and vegetables for use in seasonal, locally sourced dishes available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant features a lounge and a seasonal outdoor patio with mountain views, where guests can dine on cuisine rooted in the Canadian Rockies. A happy hour and a selection of wines and champagne complement the menu, with themed dinners offered throughout the year.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations

The hotel runs a comprehensive pet-friendly program that includes special pet amenities such as food and water bowls, a pet bed, and a locally baked dog cookie at check-in. Pet fees are set at a reasonable $25 per stay, and ground-floor rooms with sliding glass doors provide direct outdoor access for pets. A welcome bag for human guests with water bottles and trail mix is also provided in pet-friendly rooms.

Location & Outdoor Access

The hotel sits within walking distance of downtown Canmore, placing guests minutes from the Canmore Museum & Geoscience Centre and ArtsPlace venues. Banff National Park, with its hiking trails and wildlife viewing, is a short drive away, and the Canmore Nordic Centre Provincial Park - Kananaskis Country lies 6 km from the property. The surrounding area offers direct access to golf courses, including Canmore Golf & Curling Club 2 km away, and the hotel's location allows easy exploration of the Bow Valley.

Wellness & Recreation

The hotel maintains a renovated indoor heated pool and a hot tub, accessible via a separate pool house building. The state-of-the-art fitness centre includes Peloton bikes and a full range of strength equipment, with fitness/spa locker rooms available for guests. An on-site business centre and an ATM supplement the recreational amenities, and the property offers allergy-free rooms and facilities for disabled guests.

Highlights

Conference: 10,000+ sq ft of meeting space & Wild Rose Ballroom

Dining: Table Food + Drink with on-site herb garden

Pet Policy: $25 pet fee with beds, bowls & dog cookie

Location: Walking distance to downtown Canmore & 6 km to Nordic Centre

Wellness: Heated indoor pool, hot tub & Peloton fitness centre

“This property strikes me as primarily a conference venue, its large event spaces a major draw in Canmore. The on-site restaurant's dedication to growing its own herbs and vegetables is a distinctive touch, and the renovated pool area looks relaxing. It seems a practical choice for large gatherings, even if other aspects lean toward functionality over pure resort ambiance.”

Grateful for a Great Stay!

efficient check-in spacious room comfortable bed
The check-in was very easy and efficient. I was grateful that parking was available so close to the entry. The room I stayed in was spacious and the bed was comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again.
The coffee machine in the room took a long time to heat water, so a kettle would have been nice.
Rooms
9/10
The room included two comfortable chairs and a small table. I appreciated the ample space for luggage and personal items. The large windows let in plenty of natural light. The blackout curtains ensured restful sleep.

mediocre stay with some issues

excessive parking fee thin walls
the parking fee felt excessive, costing me an additional sum per night. i think guests should get free parking. the room had thin walls and i heard noise from adjacent rooms. this wasn't ideal for a restful stay and needs addressing to improve the experience.

Acceptable Room, Issues with Noise

loud music unacceptable noise
The room was as expected. Check-in went smoothly.
There was a lot of noise from a neighboring room. They were playing loud music until 5 in the morning, so I had to call the reception to complain. I found it unacceptable.
