Bernard Gray Hall Bed And Breakfast - A Historic 1907 Property with Private Ensuite Rooms and Garden Views
Located at the corner of King Street and Prideaux Street, this historic Niagara-on-the-Lake hotel dates back to 1907 when Doctor Rigg renovated it to include his office and master suite. Bernard Gray Hall Bed And Breakfast features three bedrooms, each with private ensuite bathrooms, king or twin bed configurations, and garden views. The Shaw Suite serves as the master suite, while the Secord Suite offers a king bed or two twin beds with a sitting area and flat-screen TV. Daily full breakfast includes choices of cheese omelets, French toast, pancakes, fruit plates, or traditional bacon/ham and eggs. The property stands 1 mile from Mississauga Beach and within 0.5 miles of Fort George National Historic Site, St. Mark's Anglican Church, and the Memorial Clock Tower. Bernard Gray Hall maintains a guest parlor with a library, and provides complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property.
Pros
Historical significance dating back to 1817 as crown land
Walking distance (0.3-0.5 miles) to multiple restaurants including The Exchange Brewery and Noble
Complimentary off-street parking
Special dietary requirements accommodated at breakfast
Cons
20.5 miles from the nearest airport
Cats live on the property
βThe historic building, dating back to 1817, certainly makes a first impression. With its quiet location and individualized breakfast options, it stands out as a relaxing alternative to Niagara-on-the-Lake's busier hotels; I particularly appreciate that the hotel is cat-friendly.β
