Pros
First permanent structure built on its historic corner lot
Unique themed rooms including a fully restored train caboose
Built-in pool deck games including oversized Scrabble and Chess
Family-operated by original owners for over 25 years
Cons
12.5 miles distance from Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport
Two-night minimum stay required during special events and TTU home games
βThe Santa Fe Caboose catches my eye first, standing out even among the themed rooms near Texas Tech University. The enthusiastic owners clearly aim to create a welcoming stay, and I imagine sinking into a comfortable bed after a dip in the pool is a great end to the day.β
