My breakfast included Kiyomizu yaki cups that were very beautiful. The hinoki tub had a wonderful smell. The room was so clean, and my air conditioner worked very well. The staff provided food recommendations in the area.
The sink was slightly clogged. The water did not drain properly.

The hotel is near main spots. This is a 15-20 minutes walk from a major spot. A subway station is nearby for convenience. I found it quite easy to get around to different places.

The cedar bath was divine. The aroma filled the entire room. It created a wonderfully relaxing experience after exploring. The staff showed such kindness and thoughtfulness.
The hotel had a midnight curfew. This detail was a bit inconvenient. I had to leave my key at the front desk each time I went out. The breakfast timing was rigid, ending quite early.

Mixed experience due to inconvenient hotel policies

strict curfew
I found the hotel's policies quite frustrating. The hotel has a strict curfew of 12 AM. This meant there's no entry between midnight and 5 AM, which i thought was UNFRIENDLY. the breakfast times are limited to 7 AM to 8:30 AM, and you must specify the time the day before (quite annoying!).

Wonderful Stay with Excellent Amenities

cypress bathpleasant smellhotel curfew
I found the cypress bath in the bathroom to be a highlight. The smell was very pleasant, and the amenities provided were generous. The location was also very quiet, awesome for relaxation away from busy areas. It was also a short walk to public transport, under 10 minutes from what I needed.
The hotel has a curfew at midnight. Also I had to give them the key every time I left and then ask them back. These rules were a little stressful to deal with.
Dining

The hotel served a Western-style breakfast. It included pastries, fruit, yogurt, and a choice of tea or coffee. The dining hall became quite busy during the morning breakfast hours. A testament to the quality.
