The Horton Grand Hotel offers a unique blend of historical charm in a fantastic location near the Gaslamp District. The lobby and public spaces are beautifully designed, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. However, some rooms are in need of updates and can be noisy, particularly those facing the street. The parking fees are also on the higher side, which might not be ideal for everyone.

My room needed some updating, and there was an unpleasant odor that seemed to be masked by air fresheners. Despite that, the bed was comfy, and the room had a nice view of the courtyard. However, noise from the street was an issue as well.
