My stay at the Historic Franklin was quite an experience. While the hotel boasts a rich history that adds character, the condition of the rooms left much to be desired, with issues like cleanliness and insufficient amenities. The location is certainly a highlight, giving easy access to the vibrant streets of Deadwood. However, the discomfort in the rooms and the noise from the air conditioning units made the stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

The rooms were disappointing, with unkempt furnishings and a distinct lack of cleanliness. The air conditioning allowed bugs to enter, which was quite unsettling.

The service from the housekeeping and maintenance staff was decent. Most of them were polite and attentive to our needs.

The hotel is situated right at the southern end of Main Street, which is perfect for exploring all that Deadwood has to offer.

The dining options were a bit on the pricey side, which felt excessive given the quality of our accommodations.
